Bioinformatics requires close collaboration among multi and inter-disciplinary teams of researchers with expertise ranging from cell and molecular biology to physiology and chemistry, as well as physics, statistics, computers science, engineering and mathematics. As such, the Center has over 50 affiliated faculty members from 11 different departments across five colleges. In addition, the center has over 11 center faculty and staff that help to provide a coordinated research infrastructure through the center core facilities and expertise in bioinformatics, computational modeling, biostatistics, next generation sequencing and proteomics.
