CBCB Faculty, Hagit Shatkay’s Intro to Bioinformatics and Computational Biology course is teaching students how important computational methods can be in the face of a pandemic. Her lineup of expert guest speakers included CBCB Affiliated Faculty Carl Schmidt. NIH recently awarded her and CBCB Faculty Ceci Arighi a $75,000 supplemental grant for expanding the work in the COVID-19 direction.
