In an attempt to study microbes in their natural environment, Shawn Polson, Director of the Bioinformatics Core Facility in the Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (CBCB) and CBCB Affiliated Faculty Eric Wommack led members of the Viral Ecology and Informatics Lab (VEIL) on a NSF mission on UD’s research ship. The VEIL members included Bioinformatics Trainer and Workshop Coordinator, Amelia Harrison and Bioinformatics PhD student, Barbra Ferrell.
