Nov. 8, 2011–Biofuels are fuels made from renewable resources, such as agricultural and forest products and byproducts. Unlike their non-renewable fossil fuel counterparts, such as oil, their increased usage has the potential to reduce pollution and U.S. dependence on foreign resources.

November 4, 2011–The Center for Bioinformatics & Computational Biology (CBCB) is extremely pleased to welcome Dr. Manabu Torii as a new Research Assistant Professor. Dr. Torii will contribute to the development of text mining systems as part of the CBCB bioinformatics infrastructure for knowledge discovery.
