Protein Ontology

Developing a Protein Ontology under the Open Biomedical Ontologies Foundry framework to capture knowledge representation of protein biology embedded in the scientific literature to facilitate pathway, network and disease modeling.

Protein Ontology Consortium, funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), National Institutes of Health, grant #R01 GM080646-01

NECC Cyber-Enabled Research Project

Collaborative project to sequence the little skate, Leucoraja erinacea, genome. Project supports workforce development for next generation sequencing analysis and functional interpretation. This includes hosting bioinformatics workshops, where participants learn how to use common bioinformatics applications and gain experience completing hands-on exercises.

North East Cyberinfrastructure Consortium, Funded by NIH/NCRR, grant# 5 P20 RR016472.
