The person who actually makes CBCB run

Facilities

While researchers associated with the Center for Bioinformatics & Computational Biology are spread across the UD campuses and are also located at other institutions, the Center itself is located in the Delaware Biotechnology Institute building near the main Newark campus. Core members of the center are in the 205 Suite adjacent to the Bioinformatics Core Center facilities. The suite (shown to the right) has been recently renovated to accommodate the members of the CBCB.

The Center's location in DBI allows convenient access to the labs and core facilities that have been developed there over the the last ten years. Cores include DNA Sequencing, Bioimaging, and Proteomics facilities, as well as a Bioinformatics Core that will provide necessary computer support for the Center. The Bioinformatics Core, providing support to both the CBCB and to the DBI research community, provides a 300+ core linux cluster, large-scale database support, and a visualization studio featuring a 7ft x 15ft screen with immersive 3D graphics.
