November 23, 2009–The University of Delaware is part of a multi-state team that has been awarded a total of more than $14 million from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to improve networking capabilities among the Northeast Regional IDeA and EPSCoR states — Delaware, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Research leaders from these five states first came together in 2006 to launch the North East Cyberinfrastructure Consortium (NECC).

September 17, 2009–The University of Delaware Research magazine’s inaugural issue highlighting major accomplishments of the past year features Dr. Wu in its Health section. Also prominent in Health news is the $17.4M NIH grant supporting biomedical research across the state.
