The personnel and computational infrastructure of the CBCB Bioinformatics Core and Delaware Biotechnology Institute are supported by a number of grants and other sources which help to defray costs. It is important that any research publications or other products derived from the use of infrastructure (including the BioHen compute cluster and various software packages) or were supported by our personnel, should include a statement of acknowledgement similar to the following:
“Support from the University of Delaware Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Core Facility [and/or use of the BioHen compute cluster] was made possible through funding from Delaware INBRE (NIGMS GM103446), Delaware EPSCoR (NSF EPS-0814251, NSF IIA-1330446), the State of Delaware, and the Delaware Biotechnology Institute.”
Please also keep the core personnel who worked on your project in mind for personal acknowledgment or, at your discretion, co-authorship. Co-authorship is particularly appreciated if core personnel contributed significantly to the project through development of custom/novel analysis methods, participation in data interpretation, or other intellectual contributions.
