Bioinformatics Short Course: RNA-Seq Data Analysis

This introductory course will prepare participants to analyze high-throughput transcriptomic sequencing (RNA-Seq) data with open-source software packages. Lectures and hands-on exercises will emphasize practical application, walking participants through the process of designing RNA-Seq experiments and analyzing/visualizing resulting data sets. A certificate will be awarded for attending the course.
Topics Covered:
Use of Linux-based Computer Cluster, Experimental Design, Quality Trimming, Reference Mapping, Statistical Analysis, Pathway Analysis
Who Should Attend:
The course is open to all life science researchers and will be taught at a beginner's level. Registration priority will be given to students and staff from Delaware INBRE/EPSCoR partner institutions.

Program fee includes breakfast and lunch for both days. Lecture materials also will be provided.
Course Fee:
For Non-INBRE/EPSCoR Institutions: $500 ($100 Registration + $400 Incremental)
For Delaware INBRE/EPSCoR Partner Institutions: $400 (Incremental Fee)
Participants will be responsible for providing their own laptop.
